Work as a GIS development engineer closely collaborating with users to maintain a sustainable, secure, and accessible GIS platform for VA SYD's critical societal operations. Contribute to automating data flows and integrations using the FME system and elevate GIS as an operational support tool for VA SYD.
Main requirements:
  • Experience working with the FME integration platform
  • University or college education in technology, natural science, or social science with GIS as part of the curriculum
  • Experience developing, planning, implementing, and maintaining GIS tools and geographic databases
  • Good Swedish language skills in speech and writing
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the FME system and develop automations and integrations with other operational systems
  • Develop new and upgrade existing web solutions in VA SYD's GIS platform dpWater
  • Manage, process, and develop databases
  • Participate in GIS development projects
  • Support GIS users within VA SYD's operations
  • Contribute GIS expertise in overarching digitalization discussions
  • Perform relevant GIS analyses for VA SYD
Required hard skills:
  • FME integration platform proficiency
  • GIS tools and geographic database development and maintenance
  • Swedish language proficiency
