The Delivery Area Manager at the Swedish Customs IT department in Luleå is responsible for planning, leading, supporting, and following up on the development and management of delivery plans, roadmaps, and development efforts within a specific delivery area in the Customs development portfolio. The role involves ensuring the right capacity and capability to meet both short and long-term needs, removing obstacles, visualizing capacity and forecasts, budget follow-up, resource planning, and coordinating work among delivery teams. The position requires agile leadership, strong communication skills in Swedish and English, and experience in IT leadership roles.
Main requirements:
- Academic degree in IT or equivalent experience
- Several years of experience in leadership roles such as project leader, assignment manager, delivery area manager, team leader, or other IT leadership positions
- Experience with agile working methods
- Proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
Responsibilities:
- Plan, lead, support, and follow up development and maintenance of roadmaps, delivery plans, and development work within assigned delivery area
- Ensure delivery area has appropriate capacity and capability for short- and long-term needs
- Identify and eliminate obstacles hindering desired work progress
- Visualize capacity, capability, and forecast for the development area
- Ensure delivery area works efficiently and continuously improves
- Follow up the budget
- Perform forecasting and resource planning with product owners and relevant departments
- When needed, steer, lead, and coordinate work among delivery teams within the delivery area
