Join Vattenfall Services Nordic AB as a Communications Engineer where you'll contribute to Sweden's energy transition and sustainable future by working with communication equipment maintenance and projects in the energy sector.
Main requirements:
  • Education in telecommunications, electrical, or power engineering or equivalent practical experience
  • Several years of experience in telecommunications or power engineering, or specialist competence
  • Experience leading projects or independent work in the industry
  • Experience with SDH/PDH technology, optical fiber, radio, IEC61850, IP networks, and remote control equipment is advantageous
  • Freely express oneself in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
  • Driving license class B
  • Willingness and ability for mast and pole climbing (height work)
Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventive maintenance of communication equipment
  • Troubleshoot communication equipment issues
  • Conduct modifications and new construction of communication solutions
  • Manage ongoing communication projects from start to finish
  • Design, procure materials, implement, install, and commission communication systems
  • Coordinate with suppliers and contractors
  • Travel including overnight stays as part of the job (approx. 75% field work at customer sites)
Required hard skills:
  • Telecommunications, electrical or power engineering knowledge
  • Experience with SDH/PDH, optical fiber, radio communications, IEC61850, IP networks
  • Project leadership or independent technical work experience
  • Mast and pole climbing for maintenance and installations
Recommended hard skills:
