Application Specialist for Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Team

We are looking for a technically driven problem solver to join as an Application Specialist within PLM. This role supports engineering and product development teams by ensuring our PLM solutions function effectively and meet business needs. The position involves close interaction with various internal and external stakeholders, working in an international, expanding, and innovative defense industry company.
Main requirements:
  • Technical proficiency and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with PLM systems, preferably Aras Innovator.
  • Good understanding of manufacturing industry processes, especially design and product development.
  • Ability to work closely with users providing support and troubleshooting.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in Swedish and English, spoken and written.
  • Willingness to travel to other BAE Systems sites in Sweden.
Responsibilities:
  • Support and optimize the PLM system Aras Innovator to ensure stability, efficiency, and security.
  • Collaborate with CAD specialists, solution architects, IT operations, and PLM management partners.
  • Troubleshoot and manage incidents within PLM system.
  • Provide user support and guidance.
  • Develop technical specifications and documentation.
  • Participate in governance and projects involving new functionalities and system upgrades.
  • Coordinate development and improvement initiatives within Information Management & Technology (IM&T) department.
Required hard skills:
  • Experience with Aras Innovator or other PLM systems.
  • Knowledge of CAD and ERP system interfaces.
  • Experience with Microsoft Server and MS SQL.
  • .NET framework knowledge.
  • Performance optimization techniques.
  • Test methods and Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tools.
Recommended hard skills:
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools beyond APM.
  • Experience in model-based working methods within manufacturing design and product development.
Soft skills:
  • Strong personal drive and responsibility.
  • Good cooperation and communication skills.
