Application Manager in Software Development

Lead and manage the maintenance and further development of software development systems and services for a major defense industry company. Act as a key driver in improvement work, supporting business needs and collaborating closely with end users, process owners, and partners.
Main requirements:
  • Drive maintenance and development of business-critical applications for software development such as Microsoft Azure DevOps, Jfrog Artifactory, Visual Studio, compilers and build environments
  • Coordinate and guide the business in adopting solutions aligned with needs and requirements
  • Work closely with end-users, process owners and partners for process and system support related to product-involved software development and test/verification
  • Plan, follow up and prioritize issues, handle incidents and suggest new technical solutions and working methods
  • Good communication skills in Swedish and English
  • Experience with software development, development methodologies and leading tools
  • Academic degree in computer or system sciences with interest in business development and IT
  • Ability to advise and inspire regarding method and process development
  • Strong personal drive, responsibility, collaboration and communication skills
  • Experience in manufacturing industry with focus on design and product development is valued
Responsibilities:
  • Develop, support and manage lifecycle of key business applications in software development
  • Be involved in efficiency and digitalization initiatives
  • Coordinate with internal IM&T function and external suppliers
  • Provide support and problem solving close to users
  • Drive continuous improvements in IT solutions to ensure systems are optimized, stable, secure and effective
  • Travel primarily to BAE Systems offices within Sweden
