Join SJ AB as an Android Developer to advance internal tools for onboard personnel using native Android development. Work within a social, DevOps-oriented team on critical applications that run 24/7, focusing on Kotlin and/or Java. Contribute by coaching juniors, planning, prioritizing, and maintaining applications with emphasis on usability, functionality, and security.
Main requirements:
  • Several years of experience as a software engineer with Android development.
  • Proficient in Kotlin and/or Java and associated native Android frameworks.
  • Strong interest and expertise in Android app development with good understanding of API development.
  • Fluent communication in Swedish, both spoken and written.
  • Ability to work according to agile principles and as a respectful team player.
Responsibilities:
  • Participate in development and maintenance of Android applications within the team.
  • Lead and coach the team in making sustainable technical choices.
  • Focus on enhancing usability, functionality, and security of applications.
  • Build domain knowledge of SJ's internal onboard digital tools.
  • Stay updated on latest Android technologies, tools, and trends to keep SJ at the forefront.
