Bankgirot is seeking a VMware Engineer to join a growing part of the organization in Stockholm. The role involves being a central part of Bankgirot's transformation journey to build a new greenfield payment infrastructure, working with on-premise and cloud solutions, ensuring optimal IT services that meet business goals with a strong focus on security and quality.
Main requirements:
  • Deep technical expertise in virtualization, especially VMware Cloud Foundation.
  • Experience with IT security and maintaining sustainable, quality IT solutions.
  • Academic background in relevant field or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment.
  • Experience with orchestration, automation, and integrations.
  • Experience working with both on-premise and cloud-based solutions.
  • Knowledge of Linux and Kubernetes is a plus.
  • Security experience such as NSX is meritable.
  • Good Swedish and English language skills.
  • Ability to undergo a security screening according to the Swedish Security Protection Act (2018:585).
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and implement IT solutions, integrations, and configurations aligned with Bankgirot's business goals.
  • Handle incident and defect management ensuring solutions comply with security and IT architecture principles.
  • Contribute to technical documentation and manage change processes within operations and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with other technical teams to ensure delivery of high-quality IT services internally and externally.
  • Build and improve virtualization technology to ensure future-proof systems.
