Systems Engineer

As a systems engineer at AFRY, you will work with electronics and electrical systems in vehicle development, analyzing and realizing system requirements to define vehicle system design through concept studies, system definition, and system construction. You'll take ownership of capabilities, functions, and attributes, coordinate complex technical issues, and lead your functional group through projects in close collaboration with senior designers and specialists.
Main requirements:
  • Master's degree in mechatronics, electronics, computer engineering or other relevant educational background.
  • Ability to understand system structure and analyze based on data and facts.
  • Analytical skills to understand impact of changes across systems and product attributes.
  • Good presentation and documentation skills in both Swedish and English.
  • Security clearance with background check due to defense confidentiality requirements.
Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that functionality is feasible and that design is appropriate.
  • Ensure developed solutions meet both customer and internal requirements.
  • Identify risks, plan tests, simulations, and calculations to quality assure system design.
  • Coordinate handling of complex technical issues within the project.
  • Lead your functional group throughout the project in close collaboration with senior engineers and specialists.
Required hard skills:
  • System analysis and design for complex vehicle systems.
  • Experience in software, electronics, and/or network relevant to system engineering.
  • Presentation and documentation skills in Swedish and English.
Recommended hard skills:
  • Experience with Systems Engineering (SE) practices.
  • Previous experience in the automotive industry.
