Senior Transmission CAE Engineer

A senior engineer responsible for planning, leading, and performing computer-aided simulations of transmission components and systems focusing on strength, durability, and vibration, supporting project teams, and contributing to new technology development in driveline applications.
Main requirements:
  • Master's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering with specialization in Applied Mechanics or related field
  • Experience as a simulation engineer in automotive industry, preferably within powertrain
  • Proficient in Abaqus and ANSA/META simulation tools
  • Experience with fatigue analysis tools such as nCode DesignLife or equivalent
  • Programming skills in Python or MATLAB for automation and data processing
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to engineering detail
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to present complex simulation data clearly and collaborate in teams
Responsibilities:
  • Plan, lead, and perform CAE simulations of transmission parts and systems focusing on strength, durability, and vibration
  • Conduct simulations for both conventional and battery electric vehicle applications
  • Support project leaders and design engineers with technical solutions and recommendations throughout projects
  • Participate in early-stage concept design and contribute to development of new driveline technologies
  • Present simulation results in meetings and prepare detailed technical reports
  • Work autonomously and in cross-functional teams to meet simulation objectives
  • Utilize Abaqus and ANSA as primary simulation tools with potential use of additional fatigue analysis software
Required hard skills:
  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
  • Proficiency in Abaqus simulation software
  • Proficiency in ANSA/META pre/post-processing tools
  • Experience with fatigue analysis software like nCode DesignLife
