Senior SCADA System Engineer for HVDC Upgrades

Seeking a Senior SCADA Engineer to lead SCADA integration in control and upgrade tenders and worldwide project execution for HVDC Service at Hitachi Energy in Ludvika, Sweden.
Main requirements:
- Engineering degree, ideally in computer science with specialization in data communication and network technology, or similar education.
- Practical experience in data communication and network technology focused on SCADA.
- Experience with energy automation protocols like IEC 60870-5-101/104, IEC 61850, DNP3, including their communication structures and data engineering.
- Experience in both engineering and commissioning activities.
- Proficiency in English, Swedish language skills favorable.
- Experience with Hitachi Energy’s MicroSCADA and AVEVA System Platform (InTouch) is a major plus.
Responsibilities:
- Ownership of design, implementation, and verification of the SCADA interface between customer systems and HVDC control and protection remote-control systems.
- Collaborate with tender and project teams, customers, and partners effectively.
- Design technical solutions based on industry best practices ensuring high quality and reusability.
- Manage MS SQL databases.
- Provide training and share knowledge within the organization.
- Contribute positively to teamwork and foster good atmosphere within the HVDC Service team.
Required hard skills:
- Data communication and network technology expertise specialized in SCADA.
- Knowledge and practical use of energy automation communication protocols IEC 60870-5-101/104, IEC 61850, DNP3.
- Engineering and commissioning experience.
- Database management using MS SQL.
Recommended hard skills:
