A critical role for a senior network consultant specializing in Cisco to analyze, improve, and secure network infrastructure for a public sector client in Gothenburg. The role focuses on identifying weaknesses, enhancing redundancy, and ensuring stable communication in a complex, mission-critical environment.
Main requirements:
  • Extensive documented experience in network design and managing Cisco infrastructure in complex environments.
  • Deep knowledge of redundancy technologies such as LACP, HSRP, and STP.
  • Ability to work structured, independently, and solution-oriented.
  • Strong communication skills to explain technical solutions clearly.
  • Excellent command of Swedish language, both oral and written.
Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and evaluate existing Cisco network design to identify risks and potential single points of failure.
  • Develop concrete proposals to improve infrastructure redundancy using techniques like LACP, HSRP, or STP.
  • Create test plans and define acceptance criteria to ensure proposed actions meet standards.
  • Document analysis results, recommendations, and action plans.
  • Contribute practically to configuration and implementation of improvements as needed.
Required hard skills:
  • Network design and management of Cisco infrastructure.
  • Redundancy technologies: LACP, HSRP, and STP.
  • Test planning and acceptance criteria definition.
Recommended hard skills:
  • CCNP certification or equivalent.
  • Experience working in public sector or critical infrastructure environments.
