Senior Developer to MUST

As a senior system developer at the Military Intelligence and Security Service (Must) within the Swedish Armed Forces, you will play a key role in strengthening Sweden’s security by developing and maintaining software systems that support intelligence operations. Main requirements:
  • Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent knowledge acquired otherwise
  • Several years of interest and experience in system development, preferably with a focus on security
  • Strong documentation skills for one’s own work
  • Strong will to complete functionality and see its effect with end users
  • High ambition to stay updated within software development
Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate within a team of experienced developers to develop and maintain systems ranging from small programs to large systems
  • Work closely with end users to ensure delivered solutions provide maximum value
  • Select freely within the team the tools, programming languages and frameworks to be used
  • Contribute new ideas and solutions in a team environment and engage in constructive discussions
  • Document work and code thoroughly and use pair programming where appropriate to ensure operational continuity and redundancy
Required hard skills:
  • System development experience with a focus on security
  • Ability to document technical work clearly
  • Modelling of data flows
Recommended hard skills:
  • Experience handling large datasets and R programming
  • Experience with tools such as NiFi, Kafka, Apache Spark, Elasticsearch, and Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of security concepts including intrusion protection and security redundancy
