Senior Data Protection Specialist

PostNord is seeking a Senior Data Protection Specialist to join their team to lead and coordinate data protection initiatives at both strategic and operational levels, ensure compliance with data protection laws and policies, and act as Data Protection Officer for PostNord's Swedish operations.
Main requirements:
  • Experienced senior professional in data protection
  • Ability to lead and drive data protection projects
  • Capability to act as Data Protection Officer for PostNord's Swedish operations
  • Competent in creating and proposing data protection policies and guidelines
  • Experience in educating and supporting business units on data protection matters
  • Skilled in coordinating with multiple stakeholders to ensure compliance with laws and internal policies
  • Ability to lead international data protection negotiations
  • Strong collaborative skills working with Risk Management, Legal Affairs, and IT departments
Responsibilities:
  • Drive central data protection projects at strategic and operational levels together with the team
  • Serve as Data Protection Officer for PostNord's Swedish business
  • Develop proposals for data protection policies and guidelines for approval by Group DPO or PostNord's board
  • Train and educate business units on data protection
  • Support the business with data protection questions, analyses, decisions, and contract negotiations
  • Develop, maintain and implement process descriptions, reporting routines and working methods related to the company's data protection
  • Coordinate and support managers and stakeholders to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, internal policies and guidelines on data protection
  • Shape the direction for development, implementation and improvements of data protection in collaboration with Head of Group Compliance and Privacy and Group Data Protection Officer
  • Advise and participate in international negotiations on data protection with suppliers and customers
  • Collaborate with Risk Management, Legal Affairs, Information Technology and other departments on data protection matters
