Project Manager in the Defense Industry

Responsible project manager with technical background for upgrading and modifying ground-based landing radar systems at Swedish Armed Forces installations across the country. Combines technical leadership with societal benefit, working with exciting defense systems in a flexible and developing environment.
Main requirements:
  • Completed secondary education or higher
  • Experience in project management preferably in technology or defense industry
  • Strong leadership skills to motivate and inspire team
  • Good communication skills in Swedish, both oral and written
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic and challenging environment
  • B driver's license due to travel requirements
  • Security clearance with background check due to defense secrecy constraints
Responsibilities:
  • Lead projects from initiation to completion meeting all technical and operational requirements
  • Coordinate resources and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders including subcontractors
  • Develop strategies to ensure project success and risk management
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation in project processes
  • Ensure project goals are met and results delivered as expected
Required hard skills:
  • Project management experience
  • Good written and spoken Swedish
  • B driver's license
Recommended hard skills:
  • Technical education or background in electrical engineering, systems engineering, maintenance technology or similar
  • Experience working with the Swedish Armed Forces
  • Knowledge of radar or other defense systems
  • Experience from the construction or contracting industry
  • Proficiency in English is meritorious due to extensive documentation and contact with national and international actors
