Platform Engineer/DevSecOps Engineer

We are looking for a Platform Engineer/DevSecOps Engineer with 5-10 years of experience in Linux/Windows, infrastructure, automation, and coding. The role involves working within DevOps focused development in Linux/Windows environments, taking on new consulting challenges as part of a skilled and cohesive team at Nexer. The position requires hands-on experience with public cloud services (AWS, Azure), network components, security management, application monitoring, and database management.
Main requirements:
  • 5-10 years experience in Linux/Windows environments
  • Practical experience in DevSecOps and agile teams
  • Experience with public cloud services such as AWS and Azure
  • Good understanding of network components like DNS, load balancing, firewalls, and certificate management
  • Knowledge of security management and monitoring of service-based application architectures
  • Practical experience with database management (relational and document databases)
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and automate infrastructure as code
  • Implement and manage cloud services and hybrid environments
  • Maintain and improve security and monitoring of applications
  • Work collaboratively in agile and DevSecOps teams
  • Manage CI/CD pipelines and artifact repositories
  • Support customers in both public and private sectors
Required hard skills:
  • Linux and/or Windows operating systems
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Ansible and Terraform
  • Public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, ideally Google Cloud)
  • Container and microservices technologies like Kubernetes and Docker
  • CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab, MS DevOps
  • Artifact management tools like Artifactory, Nexus, SVN
  • Centralized logging tools e.g. Splunk, Datadog, CloudWatch, ELK Stack, Grafana, Prometheus
  • Databases including Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, MariaDB, MongoDB
  • Process tools like JIRA, Confluence, MS DevOps, GitLab
  • Development methodologies such as SAFe, Agile, Scrum, DevSecOps
  • Scripting and programming languages including Python, Bash, PowerShell, C++, C#, or Java
Recommended hard skills:
  • Knowledge of at least one public cloud platform (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Experience with monitoring and security for service-based application architectures
Soft skills:
  • Ability to work in agile teams
  • Strong communication skills in Swedish and English, fluent in speech and writing
