The Government Offices' Digitalization Department is seeking an Operations Technician to manage datacenter environments with a focus on storage and backup systems. This role involves maintaining and managing essential IT infrastructure, supporting the government's digitalization strategy with robust, secure, and highly available solutions.
Main requirements:
- Experience in operation, maintenance, and installation of central storage systems in physical datacenters.
- Experience with VMware administration and Windows server operations.
- Good command of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
- Higher education or equivalent relevant experience.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for lifecycle management, capacity planning, and operation of storage and backup environments.
- Work on improvements and development in the area of storage and backup.
- Stay updated on relevant products through market monitoring.
- Participate as technical advisor and subject expert in projects.
- Scheduled on-call duties, including weekend work during service windows.
- Ensure good operation and development of capabilities needed by other technical teams for modern IT support.
Required hard skills:
