NOC Technician at Nowhere Networks

Nowhere Networks is seeking a curious and responsible NOC Technician to ensure stable internet connectivity for maritime customers around the clock, year-round. The role involves working in the Network Operations Center monitoring the network in real time, detecting alarms, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring quick and accurate handling of incidents.
Main requirements:
  • Work experience in NOC, operations, IT support or similar roles
  • Interest in networking and understanding of IP, Layer 2 & 3, and routing
  • Good structure and documentation skills
  • Ability to take responsibility and act immediately on problems
  • Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
Responsibilities:
  • Monitor the network in real time using monitoring systems
  • Detect alarms and coordinate actions during network outages or disruptions
  • Troubleshoot basic network issues and document technical deviations
  • Create cases in the system and communicate with customers and internal technicians
  • Collaborate closely with the network team for handling more complex problems
  • Work proactively to improve monitoring routines and operational processes
