The Network Deploy Technician role at Amazon Web Services Sweden AB involves delivering hardware, configuration, and fiber connectivity for scaling projects across multiple data center locations. The position supports AWS global infrastructure by ensuring reliable and secure network deployment, collaborating with internal teams and external vendors, and maintaining high safety standards.
Main requirements:
- Bachelor in Computer Science or relevant certification (CCENT, Network+, CCNA)
- At least 2 years of experience in Networking Deployment
- Knowledge of network cabling, optic types, and test equipment
Responsibilities:
- Deliver hardware, configuration, and fiber connectivity for scaling projects across multiple AWS data centers
- Collaborate with internal customers, vendors, and Technical Program Managers to ensure smooth project execution
- Adhere to and promote highest safety standards and cultivate a world-class safety culture
- Perform manual handling and lifting of equipment within regulatory weight limits
- Work off ladders and in confined spaces when necessary
- Implement cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies
- Manage work and priorities through ticketing systems and workflows
- Troubleshoot networking, routing, and interconnectivity issues including network device configurations and low level application interactions
- Participate in migration, basic configuration, and rollout of new or upgraded hardware
