Work in an advanced laboratory conducting mechanical, chemical, and metallurgical tests to ensure quality and efficiency in steel production, using CNC machines, robotic test equipment, and SEM analysis. Main requirements:
- Secondary education in electrical, technical or equivalent fields
- Experience in laboratory or industrial environment
- Knowledge of international test standards (ISO, DIN, ASTM, JIS)
- Experience with CNC, robotics, or metallurgy is meritorious
- Familiarity with acids and material handling
- Valid EU B driver's license
- Good English skills; Swedish is a plus
- High safety awareness and good teamwork skills
Responsibilities:
- Perform mechanical, chemical, and metallurgical tests
- Operate and program CNC machines and robots
- Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment
- Prepare and analyze samples including heavy lifting up to 25 kg
- Work safely with acids (e.g. macro etching)
- Document and report analysis results
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality teams
- Ensure a clean, safe and standards-compliant lab environment
- Follow safety regulations and use appropriate protective equipment
Required hard skills:
- Mechanical, chemical, and metallurgical testing techniques
- CNC machine operation and programming
- Robotics operation
- Laboratory equipment calibration and maintenance
- Handling of acids and materials
- Understanding of international testing standards (ISO, DIN, ASTM, JIS)
