An experienced IT consultant is sought for the Quality and Development department, Unit for Digitalization and IT within the Elderly, Care and Nursing Administration of Göteborg City. The role involves supporting the operation with IT issues, technical solutions, and infrastructure, acting as a key resource for identifying needs and opportunities, improving service and accessibility, and ensuring effective digital solutions that meet the organization's requirements.
Main requirements:
  • Experience in purchaser functions within IT, including handling server infrastructure, license management, and IT security.
  • Good understanding of municipal organization and governance, including experience in politically led organizations.
  • Ability to quickly understand organizational goals and value base.
  • Strong communication skills in Swedish (spoken and written).
  • Good presentation and organizational skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability.
  • Ability to present complex IT solutions pedagogically.
Responsibilities:
  • Act in a purchaser function with good understanding of IT infrastructure, from robust fiber and building networks to wireless data communication.
  • Support new constructions and renovations by specifying requirements and coordinating IT solutions.
  • Develop and implement business solutions in close collaboration with suppliers.
  • Contribute to the unit's strategic work and ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Operational work fulfilling the unit's mission and knowledge transfer to other employees.
Required hard skills:
  • IT infrastructure knowledge including fiber, building networks, and wireless communication.
  • Experience in server infrastructure management, license management, and IT security.
  • Knowledge of municipal operations and political governance structures.
Recommended hard skills:
  • Project coordination and requirement specification in IT contexts.
