Field Service Technician in IT

A role for a technician who enjoys fieldwork and solving problems directly at customer sites, experienced in installing and troubleshooting network equipment, cash register systems, and servers. The position is based in Stockholm and surrounding areas, with travel required to nearby locations such as Uppsala. Initially employed by Centric with potential for permanent employment with the client.
Main requirements:
  • Experience in IT support, field service, or similar technical role with at least a couple of years.
  • Good knowledge of hardware, networking, and Windows environments.
  • Experience working with PCs, servers, printers, and network equipment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot both hardware and software issues.
  • Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
  • Valid B-driving license with regular travel within Greater Stockholm and to nearby towns like Uppsala.
Responsibilities:
  • Handle installation, troubleshooting, and repair of cash register systems, scanners, and workstations.
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot ATMs.
  • Perform hardware installation and operating system tasks in PC and server environments (Windows).
  • Work with network components such as switches, access points, and routing.
  • Install, configure software and perform basic troubleshooting.
  • Manage incidents and provide IMAC services (Install, Move, Add, Change).
  • Work both independently and with colleagues in various projects and service assignments at customer sites.
