Network Solutions, founded in 2007 in Karlshamn, is seeking an experienced certified fiber technician for a broad and independent role. The company works on infrastructure projects across Sweden focusing on fiber networks, electrical grids, and water & sewage systems. The fiber technician will primarily operate from home but work mainly in and around Sölvesborg with travel to various projects across Sweden. The role involves fiber installation, troubleshooting, and blowing work in various environments, reporting to a project manager. Proficiency in OTDR measurement, splicing, and documentation is required. Swedish and English language skills are necessary.
Main requirements:
- Certified fiber technician with several years of experience
- Proficient in OTDR measurement, final measurement, and fault finding
- Experience with splicing, fusion welding, and cabinet installations
- Ability to plan and manage materials and equipment
- Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- Possession of a B driving license
Responsibilities:
- Perform fiber technical installation, troubleshooting, and blowing work independently and with colleagues
- Work in various environments including manholes and cabinets, indoors and outdoors
- Travel between projects across Sweden as required
- Report work progress and challenges to the project manager
Required hard skills:
- Fiber splicing and welding
- OTDR measurement
- Final measurement and troubleshooting
- Material and equipment planning and management
Recommended hard skills:
- Cable blowing experience
- BE driving license
