VIPAS AB is seeking a Backend Developer with expert knowledge in Excel macros and VBA scripts to support the transition from old Office file formats. The role involves collaboration with system vendors to develop and convert the NSS system for automatic macro conversion, primarily serving clients in telecom, automotive, retail, and banking sectors.
Main requirements:
  • Expertise in Excel macros and VBA scripts for both old (.xls/.doc) and new (.xlsx/.docx) Office formats.
  • Practical experience in conversion and further development of NSS system in collaboration with the system vendor.
  • Responsibility for inventory and automatic conversion of existing macros.
  • Provide support and expertise in conversion of Excel macros and VBA scripts within Office environment.
  • Familiarity with SAS scripts used for statistical processing together with Excel.
  • Strong social skills and communication abilities due to close user contact required.
Responsibilities:
  • Support the phase-out of old Office file formats by converting Excel macros and VBA scripts.
  • Collaborate with system vendors to further develop the NSS system for inventory and automatic conversion.
  • Manage inventory and oversee automatic conversion of existing macros.
  • Provide expert support during conversion processes within Office ecosystem.
  • Utilize knowledge of SAS scripts for statistical processing in conjunction with Excel.
  • Maintain close communication with users to ensure requirements and expectations are met.
