Join ALS Scandinavia AB as an Analytical / Technical Chemist in the operator group based in Luleå, specializing in elemental and isotope analyses using advanced techniques in a world-leading commercial laboratory environment.
Main requirements:
  • Academic education in chemistry or related field.
  • Experience or knowledge in analytical chemistry, inorganic spectrometry, mass spectrometry, ion exchange and/or extraction chromatography is meritorious but not required.
  • Flexibility and thoroughness in work duties.
  • Quality awareness and results orientation.
  • Ability to work independently and structured.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in Swedish and English languages.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct elemental and isotope analyses on complex and challenging sample types at very low concentrations.
  • Perform advanced element separations as part of a team.
  • Operate and maintain analytical instruments such as ICP-SFMS and AFS.
  • Contribute to achieving quality and result objectives through teamwork and communication.
Required hard skills:
  • Academic education in analytical chemistry or relevant field.
Recommended hard skills:
  • Knowledge or experience in ICP-MS techniques.
  • Experience with inorganic spectrometry and mass spectrometry.
  • Familiarity with ion exchange and extraction chromatography methods.
