Nyköping is growing along with digitalization – do you want to contribute? The IT department is responsible for support, operation, management, and development of the IT environment for Nyköping and Oxelösund municipalities. The department also coordinates system management, e-training, and e-services to create a modern, efficient, and user-friendly municipal operation. The IT department, part of the municipal management office, consists of over 50 people including support technicians, system technicians, network technicians, coordinators, administrators, project managers and service managers. As a support technician, you belong to the service desk team of nine technicians. You will join a cheerful team that works closely and offers good opportunities to grow and develop. The role includes 1st and 2nd line support in the service desk, support of workstations and peripherals, and some server administration. Tasks vary and include incident management and service delivery. Daily contact with users with varying IT skills is part of the job, resolving incidents via phone, ticket system, or visits. Support assignments may also take place onsite in both municipalities with some remote work possibility. You are expected to contribute to continuous improvements and foster a good work environment. Collaboration is key to make IT easier for users.
Main requirements:
  • Education at least upper secondary level in IT or equivalent experience
  • Experience in a similar support role
  • Good knowledge of Windows OS and Microsoft products, PC technical troubleshooting
  • Good knowledge of server environments and networking
  • Fluent Swedish and good English communication skills
  • Driver's license (B)
Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1st and 2nd line support to users via phone, ticket system, and onsite visits
