We are seeking two Software Engineers to join Zalando, an international e-commerce company focused on innovative retail solutions. You will develop and operate large-scale backend systems ensuring timely order fulfillment and excellent customer experiences. This role involves working with technologies like Java, Kotlin, AWS, PostgreSQL, and Elasticsearch in a collaborative and creative culture.

Main requirements:

Relevant degree in Computer Science or related field
3-6 years professional experience in software engineering
Solid experience with Java or Kotlin and API development
Familiarity with databases such as PostgreSQL and event-driven architectures
Interest or experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Elasticsearch
Strong problem-solving skills and passion for building scalable solutions
Strong English communication skills (written and spoken)

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain high-performance, low-latency systems for data streaming and processing
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and scale fulfillment and customer experience solutions
Own applications from development through deployment and monitoring
Innovate and scale platform in complex environments
Contribute actively to new feature development and improvements
