Join KDDI Spherience AB as a NOC Engineer to provide technical assistance and troubleshooting support primarily in telecommunications and IoT solutions, supporting B2B clients and internal teams while contributing to a global operations team.
Main requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, IT, telecommunications, computer science or related field or equivalent experience
- At least 3 years of experience in technical support services
- Experience in technical support role within telecommunications and IoT preferred
- Proficiency in troubleshooting techniques and tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Customer-focused mindset with dedication to high-quality support
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively under changing priorities
Responsibilities:
- Monitor, diagnose, and troubleshoot complex network infrastructure issues
- Provide technical support to customers for voice, data, and networking solutions
- Perform incident handling following Incident Management procedures
- Use operational support tools for troubleshooting
- Communicate with customers to gather issue details and provide updates on support tickets
- Collaborate with sales, engineering, and product teams to resolve issues
- Document troubleshooting steps, solutions, and customer interactions
- Develop and maintain knowledge base articles and training materials
- Participate in 24/7/365 rotations
- Stay updated with latest telecommunications and IoT technologies and industry trends
- Identify and contribute to process improvements and development of tools to enhance support
- Foster positive customer relationships through proactive communication and personalized support
- Mentor and train new staff on core technical and product knowledge
Required hard skills:
- In-depth knowledge of Wireless, Cellular 4G/5G, eSIM, Packet Core and IP technologies (Senior role)
- Knowledge of Wireless, Cellular 4G/5G, and IP technologies (Junior role)
- Basic understanding of Cloud and Virtualization technologies
- Solid understanding of IoT services (preferred)
- Strong understanding of ITIL/ITSM principles and best practices
- Proficiency with troubleshooting tools and techniques
Recommended hard skills:
- Experience within telecommunications and IoT industry
- Understanding of network topologies, connectivity, networking protocols, and telecommunications standards
