The IT Technician role at Kriminalvården focuses on supporting and maintaining Windows-based servers and related support systems to ensure their proper and efficient operation for users. Main requirements:
  • Academic education preferably in systems science, computer science, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working with Microsoft server platforms.
  • Experience with VMware products, including ESXi and VMware Vcenter.
  • Experience with in-depth troubleshooting of software and hardware.
  • Good knowledge of VMware products.
  • Knowledge of authorization systems.
  • Knowledge of IT security, including support systems.
  • Ability to express oneself well in spoken and written Swedish and English.
Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that the server environment functions correctly and efficiently for users.
  • Support and maintain Windows-based servers and related support systems.
  • Collaborate with team members and external partners to resolve technical problems.
  • Implement system improvements to enhance the server environment.
Required hard skills:
  • Microsoft server platform expertise
  • VMware ESXi and VMware Vcenter experience
  • Deep troubleshooting skills for software and hardware
  • Knowledge of authorization systems
  • IT security knowledge, including support systems
