Research and develop advanced video coding algorithms for next generation video coding standards, focusing on efficient, flexible, scalable, and sustainable delivery of video services as part of Ericsson's 6G vision.
Main requirements:
- Expertise in video coding algorithms and standards
- Strong background in signal processing and neural network-based compression techniques
- Experience with software implementation of video coding algorithms
- Ability to write technical contributions for standardization bodies
- Capability to publish academic papers and draft patent applications
Responsibilities:
- Invent, implement, and evaluate next generation video coding algorithms
- Develop software prototypes of novel video coding techniques
- Contribute to standardization processes with technical papers
- Publish research findings in academic forums
- Prepare and submit patent applications on innovations
