Systems Engineer / Requirements Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to coordinate requirements for implementing next-generation communication systems in public transport. You will manage requirements from system to functional level, ensuring technical systems integrate and meet project goals, coordinating with various stakeholders.
Main requirements:
  • Minimum of a university engineering degree (not vocational college) or 10 years of professional experience in technical development projects (infrastructure, technology, systems, vehicles, etc.)
  • At least 3 years documented experience in Systems Engineering in projects within similar fields.
  • At least 3 years documented experience in requirements coordination and change management of technical requirements in similar projects.
  • At least 3 years documented experience as configuration/change management responsible in relevant projects.
  • At least 3 years experience leading and administrating requirements work in Polarion or similar tool.
Responsibilities:
  • Ensure project technical systems are designed to function well with existing systems.
  • Coordinate dependencies and technical interfaces.
  • Participate in and when needed lead technical dialogues with suppliers.
  • Identify requirements with project management and team, enter requirements into management systems, and systematically verify compliance via reviews, inspections, and tests.
  • Analyze requirements to ensure they are realistic, feasible, and aligned with project goals.
  • Ensure the requirements management process is followed in the project.
  • Drive and support the work to define requirements.
  • Work to enable traceability between requirements, verification, and validation.
  • Communicate and manage requirements changes with stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Coordinate and follow-up requirement fulfillment through the project lifecycle.
  • Attend project meetings and stay updated on business progress.
Required hard skills:
  • University engineering degree or 10 years experience in technical projects.
  • 3+ years in Systems Engineering in similar projects.
  • 3+ years in requirements coordination and change management in technical projects.
  • 3+ years configuration/change management responsibility in technical projects.
  • 3+ years leading requirements work in Polarion or similar tools.
Recommended hard skills:
  • Documented education in Systems Engineering with certificate.
  • 2+ years experience working per ISO/IEC 15288 standard.
  • Documented education in requirements management and configuration management.
  • 3+ years experience in a coordinating role in project organization.
  • 2+ years experience in at least one public sector project.
