System Engineer in IT/OT Infrastructure

As a System Engineer in IT/OT infrastructure at Vattenfall Vattenkraft, you will primarily work with process-near IT/OT infrastructure, handling both hardware and software operations. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, maintaining existing environments, and building and configuring new solutions, often remotely guiding technicians on-site. You will be part of a close-knit team of ten, working in a helpful and open culture with a strong focus on IT security. The role supports Sweden's future energy supply and requires high security awareness and curiosity to stay at the forefront of technology.
Main requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in IT or equivalent experience/education
  • At least a couple of years experience in operation/maintenance of IT systems, preferably datacenter/server operations
Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshooting and changes in existing IT/OT environments
  • Building and configuring new IT/OT solutions
  • Remote troubleshooting in geographically distributed IT environments
  • Guiding technicians remotely to perform on-site actions
Required hard skills:
  • Experience in server operations, storage solutions and backup
  • Operating systems: Linux and Windows Server
  • Directory services: LDAP, Microsoft Active Directory
  • Virtualization platforms, e.g., VMware, KVM
Recommended hard skills:
  • Experience working with industrial IT systems in Industrial Control Systems (ICS) environments
