Develop and manage services facilitating life-saving and suffering-reducing research using secure, reliable, and easy-to-use solutions, primarily based on open standards and open source software, within a small, distributed, cross-functional team at Linköping University.
Main requirements:
- Master's degree in computer science or equivalent knowledge.
- Solid knowledge of Unix/Linux systems.
- Knowledge of various network types and security aspects.
- Skills in technical administration and management of IT services and applications.
- Experience or willingness to work in secure or isolated (air-gapped) infrastructure environments is a strong merit.
- Experience with distributed, cross-functional international teams is meritorious.

Responsibilities:
- Build and operate services facilitating sensitive research data handling.
- Develop with scripting and code-based infrastructure management.
- Investigate and troubleshoot issues potentially requiring reading and understanding source code of various tools.
- Integrate and glue together existing software rather than primary software development.
- Participate in code reviews and adhere to a standard development lifecycle.
- Document and communicate decisions and work to colleagues.
- Possibility to own and be the primary decision-maker for particular technical areas.
