System Developer Business Solutions

We are looking for a driven and solution-oriented system developer to help develop modern, user-friendly, and robust systems that support the business needs for digital solutions and integrated systems. You will work in an engaged team focusing on technology, quality, and collaboration. This is a permanent full-time role based in Karlskoga or Örnsköldsvik with some remote work possible, reporting to the Head of Business Solutions.
Main requirements:
  • Experience in the full system development life cycle from design to implementation and maintenance.
  • Ability to work both independently and in development or project teams.
  • Experience collaborating closely with management, IT architects, project managers, external IT partners, and end users.
  • Willingness to travel primarily within Sweden to various BAE Systems offices.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or relevant engineering field.
  • Proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
Responsibilities:
  • Participate in requirements gathering, front-end and back-end programming, system integration, and deployment.
  • Work on early feasibility studies together with business resources and IT partners to develop solution proposals and Proof of Concepts.
  • Contribute to optimization, efficiency, stability, and security of IT systems supporting the business.
  • Support and maintain internal applications based primarily on strategic application platforms (Aras PLM, SAP S/4Hana, Microsoft).
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants and suppliers for development, service, and support activities.
Required hard skills:
  • System development experience mainly in C# and JavaScript.
  • Knowledge of Angular framework.
  • Experience with SQL databases.
  • Familiarity with integration platforms.
  • User interface design skills.
  • Agile working methods.
  • Experience with Azure platform and Azure DevOps Server/Services.
  • Understanding of IT and cybersecurity standards both nationally and internationally.
Recommended hard skills:
  • Familiarity with strategic application platforms such as Aras PLM and SAP S/4Hana.
  • Experience with proof of concept development and solution proposal creation.
Soft skills:
  • Strong self-driven attitude and responsibility.
