Software Engineer UX

Join a dynamic and collaborative team in the Valuation Area at Swedbank, working on systems that ensure correct pricing of all financial assets in the bank. This role involves full software lifecycle participation, developing and maintaining web services, APIs, frontend and backend applications, embracing DevOps practices, daily operations, testing, and working closely with solution architects and quants.
Main requirements:
  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related discipline
  • Proven experience in software development and maintenance
  • Strong backend programming skills in Python, C#, and Java
  • Experience with database programming in SQL and SSIS
  • Proficiency in RestAPIs and JSON
  • Knowledge of frontend technologies including JavaScript/TypeScript, Angular, ASP.NET, Razor, Blazor, Qlik, Microstrategy, Power BI
  • Experience with Windows Server, SQL Server, IIS platforms
  • Familiarity with CICD pipelines and code repositories like Bitbucket or GitHub Actions
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Fluent in English and Swedish
Responsibilities:
  • Participate in all steps of the software lifecycle: design, development, testing, and maintenance
  • Develop and maintain web services, APIs, frontend and backend applications
  • Embrace DevOps mindset: build and run applications, contribute to DevOps processes
  • Manage daily operations and maintenance activities ensuring good delivery quality
  • Test and verify new functionality
  • Write efficient code using existing libraries and AI code assistants
  • Collaborate with solution architects and quants to integrate new algorithms into the framework
  • Ensure solutions comply with bank's security and regulatory guidelines
  • Document solutions properly and integrate with monitoring and logging
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders in IT, finance, risk management, and compliance
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement through technology, automation, and optimization
