We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Test Engineer to join our DevOps team at Schneider Electric in Lund. The role involves working with software for collecting, analyzing, and presenting large volumes of data from thousands of buildings globally. The position requires involvement in monitoring environments, automating tests, troubleshooting complex issues, coaching team members, and developing automated test suites, all within a culture that values clean, functional programming and continuous innovation.
Main requirements:
  • 3+ years experience with manual and automated testing of complex web projects
  • 3+ years experience working in a DevOps team
  • Ability to write simple, understandable code
  • Desire and ability to regularly learn new technologies and their ecosystems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of Agile development
  • Ability to work on-site in Lund office
  • Strong desire to always learn and improve
Responsibilities:
  • Monitor the health of PROD and NON-PROD environments and pipelines
  • Automate tests
  • Investigate, troubleshoot and reproduce complex customer problems in test environments
  • Represent the Test Discipline throughout all phases of development process
  • Coach and guide team members on writing the right automated tests in the right way
  • Write new automated tests and maintain the team's automated test suite
  • Perform exploratory verification of new features
