Senior System Tester

Techster Solutions is undergoing an exciting growth phase and is looking for experienced professionals with at least 5+ years of experience to strengthen their team. The role is dynamic and varied, focused on testing and validating AC-Charging functionality in embedded automotive systems, ensuring quality, reliability, and performance through rigorous testing and collaboration.
Main requirements:
  • Minimum 5+ years experience in system testing for embedded systems, preferably automotive industry
  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Software, Electronics, Automotive Engineering or equivalent
  • Hands-on experience with HIL systems and real-vehicle testing
  • Knowledge of automotive product development and power electronics, especially On-Board Charger (OBC) functionality
  • Valid Swedish B-category driver's license
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute robust test plans and scripts for charging system functionality
  • Perform manual and automated tests using test-bench, HIL and real-vehicle testing
  • Analyze test results, identify root causes, collaborate with developers for issue resolution
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, testers, and stakeholders
  • Mentor junior engineers to promote quality and continuous improvement
  • Identify testing bottlenecks and propose process and tool optimizations
  • Write detailed test reports and maintain regression test suites
  • Define test activities and prepare testing equipment with stakeholders
  • Conduct function verification including acceptance and regression tests
  • Perform system-level tests using Boxcar, HIL, and vehicles
  • Develop test methods using tools such as Carweaver
  • Perform fault tracing, log measurements, and analyze component signals independently
  • Ensure deliverables meet acceptance criteria and requirements
  • Participate in real-world vehicle testing expeditions
Required hard skills:
  • System testing for embedded automotive systems
  • Hands-on experience with HIL (Hardware in the Loop) systems and real-vehicle testing
  • Knowledge of power electronics and On-Board Charger (OBC) functionality
  • Testing tools: CANalyzer/CANoe, INCA, MDA, DSA, SystemWeaver, DTECS, DeweSoft, Jira/Virao
  • Knowledge of dSpace test rigs
  • High-voltage measurement methods
  • Simple hardware circuit analysis
  • Automotive communication protocols: CAN, Ethernet, LIN
  • Charging standards knowledge: IEC-61851, J1772, SAE J3400 (NACS)
