Senior Network Coordinator

Vattenfall AB is seeking a Senior Network Coordinator to join their international Network Operations team focused on Tech IT & OT. The role is based in Solna, Stockholm, and involves managing network operations, developing network standards, and collaborating across multiple teams and countries to support Vattenfall's business units in pursuit of fossil freedom.
Main requirements:
  • At least 6 years of experience in network operations with practical IT problem-solving skills.
  • Relevant university degree and/or extensive experience in Networking.
  • Knowledge of Cisco, FortiGate, and Checkpoint product portfolios.
  • Fluency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily operations such as vulnerability patching and lifecycle of the Tech IT & OT network environment, mainly in the Nordics.
  • Participate in on-call groups related to network operations.
  • Develop, verify, agree, and implement network standards, solutions, and processes with the Network Design team and business units.
  • Drive technical development of Tech IT network in collaboration with Network Design.
  • Maintain overview of Tech IT & OT network environment including roadmap, documentation, and lifecycle/budget planning.
  • Support cross-departmental projects, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis with a Tech IT & OT focus.
  • Communicate and collaborate with IT Security, SOC, Monitoring Center, Solution Architects, Service Managers, IT SPOCs, and Business Contacts.
  • Occasional business travel within the international team.
Required hard skills:
  • Cisco Routing and Switching
  • Understanding of IP, DNS (internal and external), DHCP
  • Checkpoint and FortiGate firewalling
  • RAS, VPN, Security Engineering
  • Troubleshooting and diagnostic tools
  • Experience with ITIL processes (incident, change, problem, asset management)
  • Basic scripting knowledge (Python, shell scripting) and network automation
  • Outlining industrial network designs with focus on Tech IT & OT LAN/Sites
