Join Cytiva Sweden AB as a Scientist in Protein Analysis focusing on Biochemistry and Microbiology to develop and validate analytical methods for biomolecule characterization in an R&D environment.
Main requirements:
  • MSc degree in Microbiology, Biochemistry or related Life Science field with 5 years of industrial science-related experience, or a PhD in related Life Science field.
  • Experience analyzing proteins with emphasis on HPLC and LC-MS techniques.
  • Experience with analytical method transfer from R&D to Quality Control (QC).
  • Proficiency in both English and Swedish as working languages.
Responsibilities:
  • Plan, perform, document and present laboratory experiments including analysis of affinity ligands, monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) and antibody fragments.
  • Provide technical expertise in protein analysis and support Research and Development projects for novel affinity ligands.
  • Act as a mentor and local expert, supporting peer protein analyses.
  • Present scientific and technical results internally and externally, with proficiency in oral and written English and Swedish communication.
Required hard skills:
  • Protein analysis with HPLC and LC-MS.
  • Analytical method transfer from R&D to QC.
  • Laboratory experiment planning and documentation.
  • Technical expertise in protein biochemistry and affinity ligand characterization.
Recommended hard skills:
  • Experience with Biacore methods for protein analysis.
