SmartCella Solutions is seeking a highly motivated Research Scientist to join our R&D team. The role involves scientific expertise, overseeing planning and execution of cell culture and molecular lab projects, and delivering results timely. Collaborate with scientists to develop, optimize, validate, and execute biochemical and cellular assays supporting R&D projects. Some weekend work required.
Main requirements:
  • PhD in Molecular Biology, Immunology, Immuno-oncology, or relevant field.
  • Proven experience in cell culturing and maintenance of human ES, IPSC or other stem cells.
  • Hands-on experience in immunological assays such as ELISpot, ELISA, FACs, cytokine assays, B cell and T cell assays, serological assays.
  • Ability to conceptualize and lead assay development and data analysis.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience working in fast-paced team environment with self-motivation and collaboration.
  • Meticulous lab work with adherence to protocols and excellent documentation.
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills for documentation, reporting, and communication.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead design, development, and execution of immunological assays including ELISpot, ELISA, FACs, and single-cell profiling.
  • Develop, optimize, validate and troubleshoot immunological assays and implement new techniques timely.
  • Evaluate, analyze and present raw data to internal and external scientific groups.
  • Stay updated with scientific literature relevant to the field.
  • Work collaboratively within a team and independently to meet deadlines.
  • Maintain high standards of experimentation and documentation.
Required hard skills:
  • Cell culture and maintenance of human ES, IPSC or stem cells.
