Requirements Analyst

As a requirements analyst in one of our agile development teams, you will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, documenting, and communicating requirements from various stakeholders. You act as a bridge between the business and the development team, ensuring solutions are developed in line with business needs, user value, and technical conditions. The team develops systems for outage management enabling capacity calculation of the Swedish transmission network. The system is modern and built with C#, .NET Core, Entity Framework, Razor Pages, REST, and MS-SQL. Due to high security requirements, we work with on-prem solutions. The work includes both maintenance and further development (project-based). The development team is cross-functional with roles such as product owner, scrum master, system developers, testers, UX, and the requirements analyst. The work is done in close collaboration with users like data scientists and power system analysts, and other stakeholders such as domain and solution architects, project managers, etc. The team works agile and experience with agile requirements work, methods, and tools (Azure DevOps) is important.
Main requirements:
- University degree 120p/180hp in IT or relevant education/work experience
- Minimum 5 years work experience in the last 10 years as a requirements analyst within IT including functional and non-functional requirements specification
- Minimum 5 years experience working with requirements tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps
- Minimum 5 years experience working as a requirements analyst in agile development teams using agile methods like User Stories, MVP
- Good written and verbal communication skills in Swedish and English
Responsibilities:
- Capture and document functional and non-functional requirements through workshops, user interviews, observations, and document studies
- Break down requirements into manageable value-creating deliveries and define acceptance criteria
- Ensure requirements are written in a developable and testable way
- Work closely with product owners, business experts and development teams to ensure clear, prioritized, and understood requirements
- Ensure requirements are communicated and anchored among various stakeholders
- Responsible for traceability of requirements throughout the development chain
- Contribute to continuous improvement of team work methods, documentation, and requirement processes
- Support testing and quality assurance by requirements validation and review of test cases
- Provide method support within requirements management for business specialists and stakeholders for both functional and non-functional requirements
- Design or revise work processes for the receiving organization
Required hard skills:
- IT university degree or equivalent experience
- Experience in requirements analysis for functional and non-functional requirements
- Experience with requirements management tools like Jira, Azure DevOps
- Agile requirements work and methods including user stories, MVP
- Good communication skills in Swedish and English
Recommended hard skills:
- Certified/Diploma requirements analyst from IIBA, Astrakan, or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years experience in technical requirements specification in a complex, security sensitive IT environment
- Minimum 2 years experience as a product owner
- Minimum 2 years experience in the power systems industry
