Join Descartes Underwriting as an Operations Project Analyst to support and lead projects within the Operations Team focusing on Salesforce and related tools, helping optimize and automate business processes from lead generation to claims payments.
Main requirements:
- Degree from Business or Engineering school
- Minimum 4 years experience in Salesforce development or administration
Responsibilities:
- Design technical solutions aligned with existing data models and processes
- Lead technical execution and monitoring of projects related to Operating platform including Salesforce
- Contribute to configuration and customization of Salesforce components such as objects, fields, flows, and automation rules
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and deployment of new Salesforce features and functionalities
- Provide initial user support and assist in creating training materials
- Follow development, deployment, and maintenance best practices
- Contribute to design documentation before starting projects impacting data model or APIs
- Act as technical referent for the team
- Develop and maintain reports and dashboards in Salesforce and other BI tools
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity
- Support data quality monitoring and improvement initiatives
- Create and maintain clear and concise technical documentation
Required hard skills:
- Proficiency in Salesforce data structures and objects (Accounts, Opportunities, Leads, Contacts)
- Strong proficiency in Salesforce automation tools especially Flow Builder
- Experience with Salesforce reporting and dashboards
- Experience with Salesforce platform development or administration
Recommended hard skills:
- Familiarity with Salesforce APIs and Data Loader
- Experience with Apex programming
- Experience with SQL for data manipulation and querying
- Experience working in complex business environments such as Insurance or Banking
Soft skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills in written and spoken forms
- Proficiency in English (required)
- Fluency in French (a plus)
Coding languages:
- Apex (Salesforce)
- SQL
Natural languages:
- English (Proficient)
- French (Basic familiarity)
