Operational Configuration Manager

Responsible for establishing and maintaining configuration management within the IT organization by supporting the implementation of the CMDB platform. Ensures quality and currency of CMDB data, collaborates with technical teams, supports process improvement, and aids training and communication about configuration management.
Main requirements:
  • Minimum four (4) years cumulative work experience as a Configuration Manager.
  • At least three (3) previous assignments as Configuration Manager including full lifecycle implementation of tool support.
  • Minimum four (4) years combined experience in practical work with process management tools, process documentation, and data validation.
  • Documented experience from at least three (3) implementation and establishment projects within large organizations, covering various business areas with stakeholder requirement gathering and support in requirement specification for design and implementation.
  • Documented work experience from at least two (2) assignments in regulatory-controlled operations in large organizations (> 500 employees).
Responsibilities:
  • Ensure quality and currency of data in the CMDB.
  • Work practically with collection, registration, and updating of configuration items (CI).
  • Participate as a resource in ongoing CMDB platform implementation initiative by supporting the process leader with requirement specification and testing of tool support.
  • Collaborate with technical teams, system owners, and suppliers to identify and document relevant configurations.
  • Contribute to the design of working methods and routines and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Support training and communication about configuration management within the organization.
