Network Specialist

FOI, the Swedish Defence Research Agency, is looking for a dedicated Network Specialist with strong development drive to work in a high-security environment supporting defense and security research. The role involves managing technical architecture and design, incident handling, and providing expert support while maintaining a robust network infrastructure.
Main requirements:
  • Current and relevant post-secondary education in network and IT security or extensive professional experience in network technology
  • Experience operating large TCP/IP-based LAN/WAN, including routing, switching, and LAN services management
  • Experience documenting technical work
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written Swedish and English
  • Valid driver's license class B
  • Analytical, meticulous, collaborative, self-driven with ability to advance work towards objectives
Responsibilities:
  • Work on full chain from technical architecture and design to incident handling and expert support to Service Desk
  • Support FOI's research work and maintain internal infrastructure with very high security requirements
  • Contribute to integration and centralization of administration, monitoring, and logging of network infrastructure
