MES Architect to GKN Aerospace

We are looking for a MES Architect with hands-on experience in Manufacturing Execution System (MES) architecture and configuration to help evolve and optimize the global MES landscape at GKN Aerospace. This role involves bridging business and technology for scalable MES solutions, leading MES deployments, and collaborating globally.
Main requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in MES architecture, with a strong focus on Siemens Opcenter.
  • Proven track record designing, configuring, and deploying MES solutions in discrete manufacturing environments.
  • Deep understanding of manufacturing operations, especially aerospace, automotive, or other complex industries.
  • Strong documentation skills and ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving, system optimization, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborative mindset with ability to influence and inspire across functions and cultures.
Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the bridge between business and technology, translating global needs into scalable MES solutions.
  • Architect and document functional and technical requirements for MES deployments.
  • Lead the implementation and enhancement of MES systems across multiple manufacturing sites.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across continents to drive harmonization and best practices for system development.
  • Provide expert-level support and guidance to MES users both remotely and onsite.
