Join Apotea as a Machine Learning Engineer to build, deploy, and maintain end-to-end ML systems that deliver real-world business impact in Sweden's leading online pharmacy. Work cross-functionally in a small, agile team employing MLOps best practices and modern AI architectures, under executive-level leadership with strong visibility.
Main requirements:
  • Ship ML models to production, not just prototypes
  • Proficient in Python and ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS
  • Ability to develop end-to-end ML solutions including prototyping, deployment, and monitoring
  • Strong collaboration skills across data engineering, software engineering, and product teams
  • Apply MLOps and DevOps best practices including CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code
  • Define metrics, evaluation, and validation frameworks aligned with business needs
  • Mentor junior engineers and perform code reviews
Responsibilities:
  • Build, deploy, and own scalable and reliable ML systems from prototype to production
  • Integrate ML models into products to deliver measurable business value
  • Apply MLOps and DevOps practices such as CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native deployment
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers, Software Engineers, Tech Lead, and Product Owner for data, integration, and architecture alignment
  • Define performance metrics and validation frameworks aligned with business goals
  • Continuously identify and implement improvements enhancing team productivity and solution quality
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers
Required hard skills:
  • Python programming
  • Machine Learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn)
  • Cloud infrastructure management (preferably AWS)
  • MLOps practices including CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code
  • Systematic testing including A/B testing and end-to-end software testing
Recommended hard skills:
  • Experience with feature stores and real-time inference pipelines
  • Knowledge of open data formats like Delta Lake or Iceberg
  • Swedish language skills (advantageous but not required)
