The role focuses on advancing the IT architecture efforts with an emphasis on information architecture within a large, transforming IT department serving 21 county administrative boards in Sweden. This position involves leadership in shaping data and information architecture strategies, educating and supporting the organization, and driving digitalization efforts.
Main requirements:
- Relevant academic education or equivalent experience
- Several years of professional experience in information architecture using established methods, tools, models, and processes
- Several years of experience working as an architect within business and/or IT development
- Experience leading architecture efforts in the information domain
- Experience leading and documenting workshops for information modeling
Responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility for information architecture work within the IT department and leading other information architects
- Designing and maintaining vision and guidelines for information and data architecture
- Training and supporting the organization on information architecture topics
- Monitoring trends and developments in information and data architecture such as AI, metadata management, data sharing, and information security
- Quality assurance and follow-up on compliance with information architecture
Required hard skills:
- Experience in information architecture methods, tools, models, and processes
- Experience as an IT or business architect
- Workshop facilitation and documentation for information modeling
Recommended hard skills:
- Experience from large organizations with many systems and diverse information volumes
- Knowledge of modeling languages like UML and Archimate
- Familiarity with the TOGAF architecture framework
