Junior Cybersecurity Oversight Specialist at the Swedish Food Agency

The Swedish Food Agency is recruiting junior professionals to join their new cybersecurity oversight unit, responsible for supervising cybersecurity and resilience in vital societal operations, including food and water sectors. The role involves auditing IT, process, and cyber-physical systems, developing regulations, providing guidance, and cooperating with public and private sector stakeholders to strengthen national cybersecurity.
Main requirements:
- Basic knowledge and current expertise in information security, IT security, networks or cyber-physical systems.
- Post-secondary education relevant to the role or equivalent experience.
- Proficient Swedish language skills in speech and writing.
- Good command of English language.
- High integrity and ability to work as a government official.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Responsibilities:
- Review and audit complex IT environments, process environments, and cyber-physical systems.
- Develop regulations and guidance documents related to cybersecurity and resilience.
- Communicate and collaborate with other authorities and private actors within supervised sectors.
- Contribute to the development of the unit's operations and working methods.
- Possibly expand oversight activities beyond cybersecurity in coming years.
Required hard skills:
- Knowledge of information and IT security.
- Understanding of network and cyber-physical systems.
- Ability to interpret legal frameworks and standards related to cybersecurity, or willingness to develop these skills.
Recommended hard skills:
