IT Technician with Focus on Telephony and Support Technology, Temporary Position

Join Motala municipality's IT team to work in a hybrid role managing telephony services and providing IT support. Engage in both strategic and operational tasks ensuring the IT services meet organizational needs while delivering daily user support within an evolving digital environment.
Main requirements:
- Post-secondary education in IT or equivalent experience.
- Good knowledge of telephony hardware and technology.
- Experience with supplier contacts, procurement, and contract management.
- Strong communication skills in Swedish, both oral and written.
- Structured, independent, and responsible working style.
- Valid B driver's license.
Responsibilities:
- Take full responsibility for telephony as a service, including developing, monitoring, and documenting solutions focusing on availability and security.
- Drive improvement initiatives and project lead minor upgrades to enhance telephony quality.
- Serve as a technical advisor on communication solutions, technology choices, and best practices.
- Manage contracts and supplier relationships ensuring cost efficiency and budget control.
- Develop clear governance documents, routines, and processes impacting workflows and compliance.
- Provide IT support via phone, remote connection, and onsite to ensure excellent user experiences.
- Perform technical troubleshooting and installation of client computers, mobiles, printers, etc.
- Administer user accounts, permissions, and security settings in Active Directory and M365.
- Participate actively in IT projects and continuous improvement efforts.
Required hard skills:
- IT education or equivalent experience.
- Telephony hardware and technology expertise.
- Supplier management and procurement experience.
- Swedish language proficiency (oral and written).
- Valid B driver's license.
Recommended hard skills:
- Experience with service development and service catalogs.
- Experience working at the interface between business and IT.
- Knowledge of ITIL framework.
- Familiarity with Exchange, M365, and Active Directory.
