IT Technician with expertise in operations and networks

We are looking for an IT Technician to join the public sector where you will be a key person in the organization's daily IT operations. This role is perfect for someone with a few years' experience in IT looking to take the next step, working in an environment that values your skills, responsibility, and offers support throughout the assignment.
Main requirements:
- Secondary education or equivalent plus four years of relevant work experience, OR higher education in IT (e.g., Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science or equivalent) plus at least two years of relevant work experience.
- Strong knowledge of computers, peripherals, operating systems, networks, communication, and information security.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office or equivalent.
- Experience with issue tracking systems (e.g., Easit GO, ServiceNow).
- Fluent communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure daily IT operations run smoothly.
- Perform troubleshooting and assess how to best resolve issues.
- Serve as local IT technician focused on operation and development of the authority's local network environment and communication between computers within the same building.
- Provide user support and assistance.
- Manage data communication, operations, and data security in larger network environments, sometimes globally.
- Test new products and inform users about updates.
- Install and configure computers managing network communication, like routers, servers, and workstations.
- Work on securing IT operations, e.g., firewall installation.
- Install software and adapt it to the network.
- Technically manage IT equipment in conference rooms, such as video meeting systems.
- Handle backup management.
- Administer standard systems such as mail and calendar.
- Administer backup, storage, and application servers.
Required hard skills:
