IT Technician position at Vansbro Municipality, responsible for IT operations, support, and service. The role includes problem-solving, incident management, change handling, testing, and improving daily operations primarily using Windows Server, Windows, ChromeOS, IOS, Cisco network products, and VMWare virtualization platform.
Main requirements:
  • Completed secondary education or higher with relevant orientation or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong IT technical knowledge with experience as IT technician and IT support, preferably in the public sector.
  • Very good knowledge of Windows client and server operating systems, Active Directory, M365 and Entra ID.
  • Good knowledge of Cisco/Cisco Meraki-based networks, MS-SQL, and IT security.
  • Fluent in spoken and written Swedish and English.
  • B driver's license to visit various municipal operations.
Responsibilities:
  • Work within the municipality's IT department handling operations, support, and service.
  • Provide support and solutions from simple to complex IT issues from colleagues.
  • Participate in incident resolution, change management, testing, verification, and quality improvements in daily operations.
  • Maintain and operate infrastructure based on Windows Server, Windows, ChromeOS, IOS, Cisco networking, and VMWare virtualization.
  • Collaborate within the IT team to foster a supportive working environment that encourages cooperation, shared responsibility, curiosity, and continuous improvements.
  • Support users and advise in the municipality's digital development processes.
